we observe an increasing price path for Honda, Volkswagen and Volvo -
For each brand, there may be more than one price path - one for each
generation of the vehicle - and we are trying to graph it as
if there is only one path. For instance, the 3rd generation honda
accord was
issued in 1986 and accords were revamped (i.e., higher quality) when
they issued the 4th generation model in 1990. Thus, there may be
different price paths for pre and post 1990 honda accords
